1. Bookings All bookings must be made directly with the Makeup Artist herself. A booking is not considered confirmed until it has been personally accepted and confirmed by the Makeup Artist. Enquiries, provisional dates, or discussions made online or with another person on behalf of the Makeup Artist do not constitute a confirmed booking. The Makeup Artist reserves the right to decline or refuse a booking at her discretion. 2. Deposit & Securing Your Booking A deposit of £25 for Occasions makeup , £100 for Bridal Makeup is required to secure and confirm all bookings. No booking will be considered confirmed or held until the required deposit has been received and the booking has been personally confirmed by the Makeup Artist. The deposit is taken to secure the agreed date and time and is non-refundable, except where otherwise agreed by the Makeup Artist or required by applicable law. Any outstanding balance must be paid by the agreed payment deadline. Failure to pay the remaining balance may result in the booking being cancelled and the deposit being retained. 3. Cancellation Policy If you need to cancel your appointment, please provide as much notice as possible. A cancellation fee of £50 for Occasion makeup bookings, £100 for Bridal makeup bookings will apply to cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled booking. The cancellation fee may be up to the full outstanding balance of the booking, depending on the circumstances. The Makeup Artist reserves the right to retain any deposit already paid where a booking is cancelled within the applicable cancellation period. Cancellations must be made directly with the Makeup Artist. Leaving a message with another person or communicating through a third party does not constitute formal cancellation unless acknowledged by the Makeup Artist. 4. Rescheduling Requests to reschedule should be made as early as possible and are subject to the Makeup Artist’s availability. A booking may only be rescheduled once the Makeup Artist has confirmed the new date and time. A change of date is not guaranteed and may be treated as a cancellation if a suitable alternative appointment is unavailable. Additional fees or a new deposit may apply to rescheduled bookings, depending on the circumstances. 5. Punctuality Clients are expected to arrive on time and be ready for their appointment at the agreed time. Late arrival may reduce the time available for the makeup service. The Makeup Artist may be unable to complete the full service if the delay significantly affects the schedule, and the full booking fee may still be payable. If the client is more than 30 minutes late, the Makeup Artist reserves the right to cancel the appointment. 6. Client Preparation Clients should arrive with a clean face and, where possible, free from excessive oils, heavy skincare products or existing makeup unless otherwise agreed. Clients are responsible for informing the Makeup Artist in advance of any relevant skin sensitivities, allergies, reactions or other concerns that may affect the makeup application. 7. Allergies & Skin Conditions Clients must inform the Makeup Artist of any known allergies, sensitivities, skin conditions or previous reactions to cosmetics or skincare products before the appointment. The Makeup Artist will take reasonable care when selecting and applying products; however, she cannot guarantee that a client will not experience an allergic reaction or irritation. A patch test may be recommended where appropriate. 8. Makeup Preferences The Makeup Artist will make reasonable efforts to achieve the agreed look and take the client’s preferences into consideration. Clients are encouraged to provide reference photographs or communicate their desired look clearly before or during the appointment. Makeup results may vary depending on individual skin type, texture, features, environmental conditions and other factors. The Makeup Artist cannot guarantee an exact recreation of another person’s appearance. 9. Additional Services & Charges Any additional services, changes to the agreed booking, travel requirements, early starts, additional faces or extended appointment times may incur additional charges. Any additional charges will be communicated to the client where reasonably possible before the service is provided. 10. Travel & Location Bookings For mobile appointments, the client must provide the correct address and any relevant access or parking information in advance. Travel fees may apply depending on the location of the booking. The client is responsible for ensuring that the Makeup Artist has reasonable access to the agreed location and a suitable, clean and adequately lit area in which to work. 11. Makeup Artist Cancellation In the unlikely event that the Makeup Artist needs to cancel a booking due to illness, emergency or circumstances beyond her reasonable control, the client will be notified as soon as reasonably possible. Where the Makeup Artist is unable to fulfil the booking, any deposit paid will be refunded or, where agreed by both parties, transferred to an alternative available date. The Makeup Artist will not be responsible for any additional costs, losses or expenses incurred by the client as a result of the cancellation, to the extent permitted by law. 12. Photography & Social Media With the client’s permission, the Makeup Artist may take photographs or videos of the completed makeup look for portfolio, website or social media purposes. The client may request that photographs or videos are not used publicly. Such requests should be made before photographs are taken or before the content is published. 13. Respectful Conduct The Makeup Artist expects all clients and guests to behave respectfully and appropriately. The Makeup Artist reserves the right to terminate an appointment immediately in cases of abusive, threatening, discriminatory, intimidating or inappropriate behaviour. In such circumstances, the booking fee and/or deposit may remain payable. 14. Agreement to Terms By paying a deposit and/or proceeding with a booking, the client confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
